In the Detective (“G”) Division the pay shall be at the above rate, subject to the modifications following:—

The annual salary of the superintendent shall be 300l., rising by 10l. a year to 400l.

The annual salary of the chief inspector shall be 160l., rising by 8l. a year to 200l.

The weekly pay of a sergeant of eight years service in that rank and upwards shall be 40s.

The weekly pay of an acting sergeant serving at the passing of this Act shall be 1l. 13s. 6d.

The constables who are styled detectives shall be paid 30s. a week, irrespective of their length of service as constables.
