679.(1) The accounts of the [1] Mercantile Marine Fund shall be deemed to be public accounts within the meaning of section thirty-three of the Exchequer and Audit Departments Act, 1866, and shall be examined and audited accordingly.

(2) The Board of Trade shall as soon as may be after the meeting of Parliament in every year cause the accounts of the [1] Mercantile Marine Fund for the preceding year to be laid before both Houses of Parliament.[2]
