Power to appoint advisory committee.

9.—(1) The Board of Trade may appoint an advisory committee for the purpose of advising them with reference to the exercise of their powers or the performance of their duties under this Act, consisting of such persons as they may appoint, being pilots, shipowners, representatives of pilotage authorities, representatives of dock and harbour authorities, or other persons representing the interests principally affected, or having special knowledge of the subject-matter.

(2) There shall be paid to the members of any such committee out of moneys provided by Parliament such allowances and expenses as the Board of Trade may fix with the consent of the Treasury.
