THE MANUFACTURED STRAW (MOVEMENT FROM GREAT BRITAIN) ORDER, 1924.

THE Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in them under the Agriculture and Technical Instruction (Ireland) Act, 1899, the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1894 to 1914, and of every other power enabling them in this behalf, do, with the concurrence of the Minister for Agriculture, order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1 Prohibition of Landing Modified.
|
1. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Hay and Straw (Movement from Great Britain to the Irish Free State) Order of 1923 Amendment Order, it shall be lawful to land in Saorstát Eireann without a licence of the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction any articles of millinery or other articles constructed wholly or partly of braided, interwoven, or plaited straw.

2 Straw Envelopes excluded.
|
2. This Order shall not apply to manufactured straw in use or intended for use as the packing or for the protection of bottles.
|
|
3 Commencement.
|
3. This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of February, 1924.
|
|
4 Short Title.
|
4. This Order may be cited as the Manufactured Straw (Movement from Great Britain) Order of 1924.

In witness whereof the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction have hereunto set their Official Seal this twenty-eighth day of January, nineteen hundred and twenty-four.
