ORDER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION FOR IRELAND.

IMPORTATION OF ELM TREES (PROHIBITION) ORDER OF 1927.

(Dated 23rd March, 1927.)

The Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Destructive Insects and Pests Acts, 1877 and 1907, and of every other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby, with the concurrence of the Minister for Lands and Agriculture, order as follows:—

PROHIBITION OF IMPORTATION OF ELM TREES.

1. For the prevention of the introduction of pests of the elm tree, including Graphium ulmi and Milicrococcus ulmi, the landing in Saorstát Eireann from any European country other than Great Britain, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, of any living elm tree is hereby prohibited.

COMMENCEMENT.

2. This Order shall come into operation on First day of April, 1927.

SHORT TITLE.

3. This Order may be cited as the Importation of Elm Trees (Prohibition) Order of 1927.
