BY-LAW No. C.S. 79No. 8 or LIMERICK DISTRICT

RIVERS FEALE, GEALE AND CASHEN AND TRIBUTARIES, ANNUAL CLOSE SEASON

I, FIONÁN O LOINGSIGH, Minister for Fisheries, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, do MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :—

(1.) The periods heretofore appointed for the Close Times during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Salmon or Trout in the part of the No. 8 or Limerick District comprising the sea coast and the rivers and their tributaries flowing into the sea between Kilmore Head in the townland of Kilmore and Parish of Killury and Doon Point in the townland of Doon East and Parish of Killehenny, both in the County of Kerry, shall cease.

(2.) There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Seasons of such fisheries in the several portions of the area defined above the periods set forth in the Schedule to this By-law.

(3.) the Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to an Act of the Oireachtas.

(4.) This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the Feale and Cashen Close Season By-law, No. C.S. 79, 1927.

(5.) This By-law shall come into operation on the 13th day of April, 1927.

SCHEDULE.

Method of Capture.	Portion of Area.	Close Season (all dates inclusive).
Engines other than single rod and line.	Tidal Waters.	16th July to 14th April following.
Ditto.	Fresh Waters.	16th August to 14th May following.
Single rod and line.	Whole Area.	16th September to 20th March following.
