BY-LAW No. 383 No. 8 OR LIMERICK DISTRICT. | ||
RIVER DEEL | ||
I, FIONÁN O LOÍNGSIGH, Minister for Fisheries, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, DO MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :— | ||
1. It is prohibited to fish by any means whatever in the following parts of the River Deel, in the townlands of Aghalacka and Askeaton, and County of Limerick, that is to say:— | ||
(a) Between the weir or dam known as the Round Weir and a line drawn across the river parallel with the said weir at a distance of thirty yards below it ; | ||
(b) Between the weir or waterfall next below the Round Weir and a line drawn across the river from the head sluices of the adjoining mill race, along the foundations of the old foot bridge ; | ||
(c) Between the weir or dam next above the bridge at Askeaton and known as George's Weir and a line drawn across the river parallel with the said weir at a distance of thirty yards below it. | ||
2. Each and every person offending against this By-law shall forfeit and pay for each offence a sum not exceeding Five Pounds. | ||
3. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
4. This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the River Deel By-law, No. 383, 1927. | ||

NOTE.—Under the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1925 , this By-law will come into operation on the twenty-eighth day after the above date. |
