SHEEPSTOWN NATIONAL MONUMENT ORDER, 1936.

THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND.

THE NATIONAL MONUMENTS ACT, 1930 .

WHEREAS WE—THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND—are Owners of the National Monument known as the Ruins of the Church of Sheepstown situated in the Burial Ground at Sheepstown in the Townland of Sheepstown, Parish of Knocktopher, Barony of Knocktopher and County of Kilkenny, which National Monument is shown on the map hereunto annexed and which said National Monument is an ecclesiastical building.

AND WHEREAS, WE—as such Owners—think it necessary to prohibit the burial of the remains of deceased persons within the said National Monument or within such distance of the same as is hereinafter specified.

NOW THEREFORE WE—THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND—acting in pursuance and by virtue of the powers vested in US for that purpose by Section 17 of the National Monuments Act, 1930 , and of all other powers enabling us DO HEREBY ORDER that from and after the date hereof no remains of deceased persons shall be interred within the said National Monument or within a distance of six feet measured from any part of the said National Monument as indicated by the letters "A," "B," "C," "D," "E " and "F " on the said map.

This Order may be cited as The Sheepstown National Monument Order, 1936.

GIVEN under our Seal of Office this Second day of July in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.
