GAME BIRDS PROTECTION (No. 2) ORDER, 1938. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 , (No. 11 of 1930), as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, that whenever the Minister for Justice is satisfied that any particular species of game bird is in special need of protection in the whole or any particular portion of Ireland, he may by order prohibit for any specified period not exceeding one year from the date of the Order, the killing or taking of that particular species of game bird in Ireland or in any particular portion of Ireland specified in the Order. | ||
AND WHEREAS the Minister for Justice is satisfied that pheasants are in special need of protection in the County of Clare. | ||
NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 , (No. 11 of 1930), as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Game Birds Protection (No. 2) Order, 1938. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 , (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. The killing or taking of pheasants is prohibited in the County of Clare for the period from the 1st day of October, 1938, to 31st day of January, 1939, both days inclusive. | ||
