17/05/1938: ORDER MADE BY THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS.

Dated17th May, 1938.

The Revenue Commissioners, in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, hereby order as follows:—

1. The exporter or shipper of Grass Seed intended for exportation shall make due entry and obtain clearance of such Grass Seed before shipment or exportation.

2. The entry required under Paragraph 1 of this Order shall be made by delivering to the Collector or other proper Officer of Customs and Excise, a Specification in the approved form duly completed.

3. The entry shall specify, in addition to the other particulars required to be shown thereon,

(a) the name and address of the consignor of the Grass Seed;

(b) the name and address of the consignee of the Grass Seed; and

(c) the name and address of the owner of the Grass Seed;

and shall in all cases contain a declaration on the part of the person making the entry that the particulars in the entry are true and correctly stated.

4. The clearance required under Paragraph 1 of this Order shall be granted by the signature of the proper Officer of Customs and Excise on the document on which entry has been made in pursuance of this Order.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of May, 1938.

6. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

7. This Order may be cited as the Exportation of Grass Seed (Entry) Order, 1938.
