STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1939. No. 14.

CHEESE (BOUNTY) (AMENDING) ORDER, 1939.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 34 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), that the Minister for Agriculture may from time to time by Order make regulations prescribing the rates of bounty under Part VII of the said Act on milk products and may at any time by Order revoke or amend any such Order and may by such Order prescribe the date on which any particular rate of bounty shall come into force :

AND WHEREAS by virtue of Section 3 of the said Act raw cheese and processed cheese are milk products for the purposes of the said Act :

AND WHEREAS in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said Section 34 the said Minister made the Cheese Bounty Order, 1938 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 160 of 1938) :

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 11 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1938 , (No. 30 of 1938), that whenever the Minister for Agriculture makes an order under sub-section (1) of Section 34 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 , amending an order prescribing rates of bounty, the said Minister may, by the amending order, prescribe a date, earlier than the date of the making thereof, as the date on which the amended rates of bounty are to come into force :

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Acts, 1935 and 1938, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do by this Order make the following regulations :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Cheese (Bounty) (Amending) Order, 1939.

2. The Cheese Bounty Order, 1938 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 160 of 1938), is hereby amended by the insertion therein of the following Article in lieu of Article 4 now contained therein and thesaid order shall be construed and have effect accordingly, that is to say :—

" 4. (i) The rate of bounty on full cream cheese (raw and processed) shall be nineteen shillings the hundredweight, and such rate shall come into force as on and from the 1st day of September, 1938.

(ii) The rate of bounty on cheese (raw or processed) other than full cream cheese shall be five shillings the hundredweight, and such rate shall come into force as on and from the 1st day of September, 1938."
