STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1939. No. 101.

GAME PRESERVATION (PROHIBITION OF EXPORT) CONTINUANCE ORDER, 1939.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 27 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), that it shall not be lawful for any person, save with the permission in writing of the Superintendent of the Gárda Síochána for the district in which such person resides and in accordance with the terms of such permission, to export any partridge, pheasant or grouse during the period of two years from and after the commencement of that Act or any extension of that period made by the Minister for Justice under that section:

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of the said section that the Minister may, if he so thinks fit, at any time and from time to time by order extend by such time as he thinks proper the said period of two years:

AND WHEREAS by the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1932, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1933, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1934, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1935, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1936, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1937, and the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1938, the said period of two years was extended to the 30th day of April, 1939:

NOW, I, PATRICK RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 27 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1939.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to the interpretation of this Order.

3. The period of two years mentioned in sub-section (1) of Section 27 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), and extended by the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1932, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1933, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1934, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1935, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1936, the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1937, and the Game Preservation (Prohibition of Export) Continuance Order, 1938, to the 30th day of April, 1939, is hereby further extended by one year to the 30th day of April, 1940.
