GAME BIRDS PROTECTION ORDER, 1939. | ||||||||||||||||||||
WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (1) of Section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, that whenever the Minister for Justice is satisfied that any particular species of game birds is in special need of protection in the whole or any particular portion of Ireland, he may by order prohibit for any specified period not exceeding one year from the date of the order the killing or taking of that particular species of game bird in Ireland or in any particular portion of Ireland specified in the order : | ||||||||||||||||||||
AND WHEREAS the Minister for Justice is satisfied that the species of game birds mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Order are in special need of protection : | ||||||||||||||||||||
NOW, I, PATRICK RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of Section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Game Birds Protection Order, 1939. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. The killing or taking of each of the species of game birds mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Order is prohibited for the period mentioned in the second column of the said Schedule, within the area mentioned in the third column of the said Schedule opposite the mention in the said first column of such species of game birds. | ||||||||||||||||||||
