BY-LAW No. 436 OYSTER FISHERIES | ||
CLEW BAY. | ||
I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , the Fisheries (Redistribution of Public Services) Order, 1934, and of every other power enabling me in this behalf DO MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW : | ||
(1) It shall not be lawful during the period from the 1st day of October, 1939, to the 30th day of September, 1941, both said days inclusive, to dredge for, take, catch or destroy any Oyster or Oyster Brood in that part of Clew Bay enclosed by the Islands of Derrinish, Illannaconney, Inishturk, Carrigeenglass, North, Freaghillan, Island More and Rabbit Island, and by straight lines drawn from the eastern extremity of Derrinish to the western extremity of Illannaconney, from the eastern extremity of Illannaconney to the western extremity of Inishturk, from the south-eastern extremity of Inishturk to the eastern extremity of Inishnakillew and thence to the eastern extremity of Carrigeenglass North, from the western extremity of Carrigeenglass North to the eastern extremity of Freaghillan and from the northern extremity of Rabbit Island in a northerly direction to Derrinish ; | ||
(2) Each and every person offending against this By-Law shall forfeit and pay for each offence a sum not exceeding Five Pounds, and any Oyster or Oyster Brood taken in contravention thereof shall be forfeited ; | ||
(3) The interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this By-Law ; | ||
(4) This By-Law may be cited for all purposes as the Clew Bay Oyster By-Law No. 436, 1939. | ||
