SAINT LAURENCE'S HOSPITAL (ACQUISITION OF LAND) ORDER, 1945. | ||
WHEREAS the powers and duties of the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (hereinafter referred to as " the Minister ") under the Saint Laurence's Hospital Act, 1943 (hereinafter referred to as " the Act ") are delegated by the Local Government and Public Health (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1945, to Francis Constantine Ward, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister (hereinafter referred to as " the Parliamentary Secretary ") : | ||
AND WHEREAS the Parliamentary Secretary thinks it proper, for the purpose of providing a site for the new hospital to be erected and established under the Act, to acquire compulsorily under Part III of the Act the land described in the Schedule to this Order, being land in the city of Dublin : | ||
AND WHEREAS, before making this Order, the Parliamentary Secretary complied with the requirements of paragraphs (a) and (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 22 of the Act, and also caused a public inquiry to be held in regard to the making of the Order : | ||
NOW THEREFORE the Parliamentary Secretary in exercise of the powers vested in the Minister by Section 22 of the Act and delegated as aforesaid hereby declares his intention to acquire compulsorily under Part III of the Act the land described in the Schedule to this Order and hereby orders that the provisions of | ||
(a) the Acquisition of Land (Assessment of Compensation) Act, 1919, as amended by the Acquisition of Land (Reference Committee) Act, 1925 , and | ||
(b) the Lands Clauses Acts so far as the same are not inconsistent with the said Acquisition of Land (Assessment of Compensation) Act, 1919, | ||
shall be incorporated in this Order and the provisions of those Acts shall apply accordingly. | ||
SCHEDULE. | ||
ALL THAT land at Cabra in the City of Dublin enclosed within a line commencing at the eastern point of the premises called Saint Laurence on the Navan Road and extending along the Navan Road and Old Cabra Road to the eastern fence of the field or paddock to the east of Cabra Cottage on Old Cabra Road, and south along the fence to the east of the said field or paddock, and thence west along the northern boundary of the premises on the north side of Caragh Road, and south across the western end of Caragh Road along the western boundary of the houses fronting thereon, and thence in the same direction to the corner of the boundary of the Exercise and Sports Ground in the possession of the Minister for Defence and thence west and south along the said boundary to Blackhorse Avenue, thence northwest along Blackhorse Avenue to the eastern boundary of the Military Cemetery on the said avenue, and thence north along the eastern boundary of the said Military Cemetery and northwest along the north-eastern boundary of the premises to the east of Slemish Road and thence north-east along the southern boundaries of the premises on Skreen Road and the premises called Saint Laurence and Saint Aidan's to the starting point. | ||
