PUBLIC HEALTH (INFECTIOUS DISEASES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1947. | ||
The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Public Health Acts, 1878 to 1931 and of all other powers in that behalf enabling him, hereby makes the following regulations :— 1. These regulations may be cited as the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) Regulations, 1947. 2. These regulations shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1947. 3. In these regulations— | ||
the expression " diarrhoea and enteritis " means any condition in a child associated with frequent motions and severe constitutional disturbance, and | ||
the expression " the Principal Regulations " means the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941. 4. The provisions of the Principal Regulations shall apply and have effect in relation to any child under the age of two years who is suffering from diarrhoea and enteritis as if the said disease were included among the diseases mentioned in the First Schedule to the Principal Regulations. 5. The provisions of Article 3 of the Principal Regulations shall apply in relation to the duties imposed by these regulations and to the alterations effected by these regulations in the duties imposed by the Principal Regulations on medical practitioners. 6. The Public Health (Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) Regulations, 1943 shall be revoked. 7. These regulations and the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941 to 1945 shall be construed as one and may be collectively cited as the Public Health (Infectious Diseases) Regulations, 1941 to 1947. | ||
