VENEREAL DISEASE ACT, 1917 (APPLICATION TO SPECIFIED AREAS) ORDER, 1948. | ||
WHEREAS by section 1 of the Venereal Disease Act, 1917 (hereinafter called " the Act ") it is provided that in any area in which the said section is in operation a person shall not, unless he is a duly qualified medical practitioner, for reward either direct or indirect, treat any person for venereal disease or prescribe any remedy therefor, or give any advice in connection with the treatment thereof, whether the advice is given to the person to be treated or to any other person: | ||
AND WHEREAS a scheme for the gratuitous treatment of persons suffering from venereal disease in each of the areas to which this Order relates has been approved by the Minister for Health and is already in operation : | ||
NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Health in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 1 of the Act hereby orders as follows :— 1. Section 1 of the Act shall apply to the area consisting of the County of Kerry and to the area consisting of the County of Tipperary (South Riding). 2. This Order may be cited as the Venereal Disease Act, 1917 (Application to Specified Areas) Order, 1948. | ||
