HOLIDAYS (EMPLOYEES) ACT, 1939 (SECTION 10) REGULATIONS, 1948.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (4) of section 10 of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (No. 1 of 1939), hereby makes the following regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (Section 10) Regulations, 1948.

2. These Regulations apply to the following classes of non-domestic workers :

(a) underground workers employed in coal mining who are of or over the age of eighteen years,

(b) surface workers employed in coal mining who are of or over the age of eighteen years and who normally work a full working week.

3. In the application of section 10 of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (No. 1 of 1939), to the workers to whom these Regulations apply, the period of sixteen hundred hours shall be substituted in subsection (1) of that section for the period of eighteen hundred hours.
