HOLIDAYS (EMPLOYEES) ACT, 1939 (SECTION 10) REGULATIONS, 1948. | ||
The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (4) of section 10 of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (No. 1 of 1939), hereby makes the following regulations :— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (Section 10) Regulations, 1948. 2. These Regulations apply to the following classes of non-domestic workers : | ||
(a) underground workers employed in coal mining who are of or over the age of eighteen years, | ||
(b) surface workers employed in coal mining who are of or over the age of eighteen years and who normally work a full working week. 3. In the application of section 10 of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (No. 1 of 1939), to the workers to whom these Regulations apply, the period of sixteen hundred hours shall be substituted in subsection (1) of that section for the period of eighteen hundred hours. | ||
