MILK AND DAIRIES (INFECTIOUS DISEASES) ORDER, 1948.

WHEREAS the Minister for Health (hereinafter called " the Minister ") is of opinion that each of the diseases specified in the Schedule hereto is a disease which is likely to be caused by infected or contaminated milk :

NOW THEREFORE the Minister in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of section 40 of the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935 , with the concurrence of the Minister for Agriculture, hereby declares and orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Milk and Dairies (Infectious Diseases) Order, 1948.

2. Each of the diseases specified in the Schedule hereto shall be a disease to which Part V of the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935 , applies.

SCHEDULE.

(a) Food-poisoning caused by organisms of the Salmonella Group.

(b) Bacillary dysentery.

(c) Streptococcal sore throat.
