EMERGENCY POWERS (CONTROL OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1940 (AMENDMENT) (No. 36) (SUGAR AND SWEETENING MATTER) ORDER, 1952.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S.R. & O., No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S.R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (Amendment) (No. 36) (Sugar and Sweetening Matter) Order, 1952.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 5th day of July, 1952.

2. In this Order " the Amendment (No. 33) Order " means the Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (Amendment) (No. 33) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 9 of 1950 ).

3. The Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (S.R. & O., No. 149 of 1940), shall have effect as if, in lieu of the matter inserted in the Schedule thereto by the Amendment (No. 33) Order, the following were inserted :

" Sugar and sugar syrup, molasses and glucose. All commodities which are made from sugar or other sweetening matter or to which sugar or other sweetening matter has been added in the course of preparation (unless such commodities are exported by parcel post)."

4. The Amendment (No. 33) Order is hereby revoked.
