DUBLIN TAXIMETER AREA FARE BYE-LAWS, 1952.

I, DANIEL COSTIGAN, Commissioner of the Garda Síochána, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 139 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, 1933 (No. 11 of 1933), after consultation with the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Alderman and Burgesses of Dublin, the Council of the County of Dublin and the Corporation of Dún Laoghaire and with the consent of the Minister for Local Government testified by his official seal affixed hereto, make the following bye-laws :—

1. (1) These Bye-Laws may be cited as the Dublin Taximeter Area Fare Bye-Laws, 1952.

(2) The Dublin Taximeter Area Fare Bye-Laws, 1937 and 1947, and these Bye-Laws may be cited together as the Dublin Taximeter Area Fare Bye-Laws, 1937 to 1952.

2. The Dublin Taximeter Area Fare Bye-Laws, 1937 (S. R. & O., No. 192 of 1937), as amended by Dublin Taximeter Area Fare Bye-Laws, 1947 (S. R. & O., No. 436 of 1947), are hereby further amended—

(i) by the substitution in paragraph (a) of bye-law 3 of the words " two shillings " for the words " one shilling and six pence ",

(ii) by the substitution in Note (i) in the Schedule of the words " two shillings " for the words " one shilling ".

WHEREAS in pursuance of section 8 of the Road Traffic Act, 1933 (No. 11 of 1933), the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána has submitted the foregoing bye-laws to the Minister for Local Government :

AND WHEREAS the provisions of subsections (1) and (5) of that section have been complied with in relation to the said bye-laws :

NOW, the Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 139 of the said Act, hereby consents to the making of the said bye-laws.
