SOCIAL WELFARE (MEDICAL CERTIFICATION AGREEMENTS) REGULATIONS, 1952.

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3 and 69 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 , (No. 11 of 1952), for facilitating the introduction of the system of insurance established by the said Act, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, hereby makes, with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, the following Regulations:—

1 Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Medical Certification Agreements) Regulations, 1952.

2 Commencement

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 5th day of January, 1953.

3. Each medical certification agreement made and entered into under and for the purposes of the National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1952, with a registered medical practitioner which is in force on the 4th day of January, 1953, shall be deemed to have been made and entered into under and for the purposes of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 , and shall be enforceable accordingly until determined as therein provided.
