SOCIAL WELFARE (EMPLOYMENT BY A PRESCRIBED RELATIVE) REGULATIONS, 1953.

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 and paragraph 4 of Part II of the First Schedule to the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952), and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Employment by a Prescribed Relative) Regulations, 1953.

2. Employment, other than employment under a written contract of service or apprenticeship, by the father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, stepfather, stepmother, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, stepson, stepdaughter, brother, sister, halfbrother or halfsister of the employed person, where the employed person is a member of the employer's household and the employment is related to a private dwelling house or a farm in or on which both the employer and the employed person reside, is hereby specified as employment for the purposes of paragraph 4 of Part II of the First Schedule to the Social Welfare Act, 1952 .
