HARBOUR RATES (FOYNES HARBOUR) ORDER, 1955.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 104
of the
Harbours Act, 1946
(No. 9 of 1946), hereby order as follows :—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Foynes Harbour) Order, 1955.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 30th day of April, 1955.
2.—(1) The rates set out in the Schedules to this Order are hereby fixed as the maximum rates to be charged by the Foynes Harbour Trustees in respect of Foynes Harbour.
|
| |
(2) Where the rates fixed under this Order are payable at a tonnage charge, lesser weights shall be chargeable as follows :—
|
| |
(a) any weight not exceeding 5 cwt. shall count as 5 cwt. ;
|
| |
(b) any weight exceeding 5 cwt., but not exceeding 10 cwt., shall count as 10 cwt. ;
|
| |
(c) any weight exceeding 10 cwt., but not exceeding 15 cwt., shall count as 15 cwt. ;
|
| |
(d) any weight exceeding 15 cwt., but not exceeding 20 cwt., shall count as one ton.
|
| |
(3) In this Order " register tons " means net register tons or half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater.
3. Every statutory or other provision fixing, restricting or otherwise regulating the rates or the maximum or minimum rates chargeable by the Foynes Harbour Trustees on subjects of charge set out in the Schedules to this Order, or the basis on which, or method by which such rates are computed, is hereby revoked.
