FACTORIES ACT, 1955 (COMMENCEMENT OF SECTIONS 34 AND 35) ORDER, 1956.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 1 of the Factories Act, 1955 (No. 10 of 1955), and it having been shown to my satisfaction that the coming into operation of certain requirements of Part III of the said Act should be postponed, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Factories Act, 1955 (Commencement of Sections 34 and 35) Order, 1956.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1956.

2. The date of coming into operation of section 34 and section 35 of the Factories Act, 1955 (No. 10 of 1955) (which provisions are applied to certain building operations by section 88 of that Act) is hereby postponed as respects any place where such building operations are carried on, until the 1st day of January, 1958.
