SUPERPHOSPHATES (SUSPENSION OF CUSTOMS DUTY) ORDER, 1956.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Superphosphates (Suspension of Customs Duty) Order, 1956.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of November, 1956.

2. The duty of customs imposed by section 11 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 20 of 1932), and mentioned at reference number 21 in the First Schedule thereto is hereby suspended in respect of superphosphates.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order suspends the operation of the customs duty of 20% (full), nil preferential—United Kingdom and Commonwealth) on superphosphates.
