GAELTACHT (TRANSFER OF DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION AND MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (No. 2) Order, 1956.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 6 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Gaeltacht (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1956.

2. The administration and business of Oifig na Gaeltachta agus na gCeantar gCúng, so far as they relate to the Gaeltacht as defined for the purposes of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1956 (No. 21 of 1956), are hereby transferred from the Department of Local Government to the Department of the Gaeltacht.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

By this Order, the administration and business of Oifig na Gaeltachta agus na gCeantar gCúng, so far as they relate to the Gaeltacht, are transferred to the Department of the Gaeltacht.
