COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (SALARIES OF OFFICERS) REGULATIONS, 1952 (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1958.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 27 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1958.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1958.

(3) The collective citation " the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 to 1958 " shall include these Regulations.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. (1) In this Regulation " the Principal Regulations " means the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 ( S.I. No. 317 of 1952 ).

(2) Paragraph 5 of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the substitution of " £875 " for " £675 ".

(3) The reference contained in Regulation 3 of the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 (Amendment) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 69 of 1956 ), to a salary payable under the Principal Regulations shall be construed as including a reference to a salary payable under paragraph 5 of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations as amended by paragraph (2) of this Regulation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for an increase in the minimum of the salary scale for Chief Agricultural Officers of Committees of Agriculture.
