S.I. No. 103/1962 - Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1962.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), and with the sanction of the Minister for Finance hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1962.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Article 4 of the Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 156 of 1958 ), shall, from the 1st day of November, 1961, have effect as if "3,270", "2,535", "2,255", "2,085", "2,170", "2,255" and "2,340" were substituted for "2,905", "2,255", "2,005", "1,855", "1,930", "2,005" and "2,080" (inserted by the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 257 of 1961 )) respectively.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for new salaries for the Officers of the Garda Síochána whose salaries were not increased under the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1961.
