EXCHANGE CONTROL REGULATIONS, 1962.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 (No. 30 of 1954), as continued by the Exchange Control (Continuance) Act, 1958 (No. 30 of 1958), hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Exchange Control Regulations, 1962.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 13th day of December, 1962.

(3) The Exchange Control Regulations, 1959 to 1961, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Exchange Control Regulations, 1959 to 1962.

2. The Second Schedule to the Exchange Control Regulations, 1959 ( S.I. No. 44 of 1959 ), is hereby amended by the insertion of " the State of Kuwait ", " Sierra Leone ", " Tanganyika ", " Uganda " and " Western Samoa ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations add the States mentioned therein to the list of scheduled territories for the purposes of the Exchange Control Acts, 1954 and 1958. These states, which have become independent, were previously included in the scheduled territories as colonial possessions, trusteeship territories and protected states.
