AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT OF SUGAR SYRUPS AND INVERT SUGAR) ORDER, 1963.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1963 ), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export of Sugar Syrups and Invert Sugar) Order, 1963.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1963.

3. Subject to paragraph 4 of this Order, the exportation of sugar syrups and invert sugar save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), is hereby prohibited.

4. This Order shall not apply to the exportation by parcel post of sugar syrups or invert sugar.

5. The Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export of Sugar Syrups) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 59 of 1963 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to apply, as from 1st September, 1963, control on exports of invert sugar and to continue the existing control on the export of sugar syrups.
