S.I. No. 82/1964 - An Foras Talútais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) (Amendment) Order, 1964.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (11) of section 5 of the Agriculture (An Foras Talúntais) Act, 1958 (No. 1 of 1958), hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as An Foras Talúntais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) (Amendment) Order, 1964.

(2) An Foras Talúntais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 102 of 1958 ), An Foras Talúntais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) (Amendment) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 98 of 1961 ), and this Order may be cited together as An Foras Talúntais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) Orders, 1958 to 1964, and shall be construed together as one.

2.—The powers, functions and duties conferred or imposed upon the Secretary by An Foras Talúntais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 102 of 1958 ), may be exercised or performed by such other officer of the Minister as the Minister may from time to time designate for that purpose.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order provides that the functions assigned to the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture by An Foras Talúntais (Nomination of Members of the Council by Agricultural and Rural Organisations) Order, 1958, may be performed by such other officer of that Department as the Minister for Agriculture may from time to time designate for that purpose.
