Notice of accidents. |
27.—(1) Regulations may provide for requiring the prescribed notice of any accident in respect of which occupational injuries benefit or any amount under section 26 of this Act may be payable to be given within the prescribed time by the insured person, or, where within that time his death results from the accident, by such other person as may be prescribed, to the insured person's employer or other prescribed person. | |
(2) In a case of failure without good cause to give the prescribed notice referred to in the foregoing subsection (including, in the case of a claim for death benefit, a failure on the part of some other person to give the prescribed notice of the relevant accident), regulations may provide for disqualification for receipt of occupational injuries benefit or any amount under section 26 of this Act for such period as may be determined in accordance with the regulations. |
