IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (No. 157) (SPECIAL IMPORT LEVY) ORDER, 1966.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (No. 157) (Special Import Levy) Order, 1966.

2. Paragraph 15 of the Imposition of Duties (No. 146) (Special Import Levy) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 220 of 1965 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of " 30th day of June, 1966 " for " 31st day of March, 1966 ".

3. (1) Part I of the Schedule to the said Imposition of Duties (No. 146) (Special Import Levy) Order, 1965, shall have effect as if—

(a) " 44.24 ", " 44.27 (A) (2) ",

" 67.04 (A) ", " 94.03 (C) (1) (a) ",

" 94.03 (C) (1) (b) " and

" 97.02 (B) " were inserted, and

(b) " 44.27 (A) " and " 94.03 (C) (1) "

were deleted.

(2) Part II of the said Schedule shall have effect as if—

(a) " 62.02 (A) (5) " were inserted, and

(b) " 42.03 (C) ", " 61.01 (A) ",

" 61.02 (A) ", " 61.10 (C) (1) ",

" 64.06 (A) ", " 65.05 (D) " and

" 65.06 (B) " were deleted.

(3) Subparagraphs (1) and (2) of this paragraph shall not apply in relation to any goods which have arrived in the State before the 1st day of April, 1966.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to continue to 30th June, 1966, with certain minor amendments, the operation of the levy imposed on 2nd November, 1965, on imports of certain goods.
