FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE (MISCELLANEOUS ORDERS) AND DISEASES OF ANIMALS (RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENT OF CATTLE, SHEEP AND SWINE) ORDER, 1967 (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1968.

I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Foot and Mouth Disease (Miscellaneous Orders) and Diseases of Animals (Restriction of Movement of Cattle, Sheep and Swine) Order, 1967 (Revocation) Order, 1968.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 29th day of February, 1968.

2. The following Orders are hereby revoked, namely :

(a) the Foot and Mouth Disease (Restriction of Exhibition and Sale of Bovine Animals) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 263 of 1967 );

(b) the Foot and Mouth Disease (Importation of Animals) (Amendment) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 282 of 1967 );

(c) the Diseases of Animals (Restriction of Movement of Cattle, Sheep and Swine) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 283 of 1967 );

(d) the Foot and Mouth Disease (Restriction of Exhibition and Sale of Sheep and Pigs) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 295 of 1967 ); and

(e) the Foot and Mouth Disease (Restriction of Exhibition and Sale of Bovine Animals) (Amendment) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 296 of 1967 ).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to remove the restrictions on the movement and sale of livestock imposed by the Orders now being revoked.
