Amendment of section 28 of Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 . |
1.— Section 28 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 , which specifies the amount of weekly contributions to the Redundancy Fund, is hereby amended by the insertion after subsection (3) of the following new subsection: | |
“(3A) Notwithstanding anything in section 27 or this section of this Act, a redundancy contribution shall not be payable by an employed contributor (within the meaning of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 ) who is in receipt of a widow's (contributory) pension, a widow's (non-contributory) pension, deserted wife's benefit, a deserted wife's allowance or a social assistance allowance under section 8 of the Social Welfare Act, 1973 .”. |
