DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) (No. 3) ORDER, 1976.

I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 (1) (f) of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) (No. 3) Order, 1976.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1976.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Dungarvan shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 240 in the First Schedule, and at reference number 206 in the Second Schedule, to the Principal Order, be the second and fourth Wednesday in each month at 11.30 a.m.

4. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Clogheen shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 230 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be the second Thursday in February, April, June, October and December at 11.30 a.m. and the second Thursday in September at 3 p.m. and shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 198 in the Second Schedule to that Order, be the second Thursday in February, April, June, October and December at 11.30 a.m.

5. The days and hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Killenaule shall, in lieu of the days and hours specified in column (4) at reference number 232 in the First Schedule, and in column (4) at reference number 200 in the Second Schedule, to the Principal Order, be the second Thursday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 11.30 a.m.

6. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order alters the existing provisions with regard to the dates of sittings of the District Court in Clogheen and provides for an increased number of sittings of the District Court in Dungarvan and a reduced number of sittings in Killenaule.
