MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS ACT, 1978 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1978.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978 (No. 4 of 1978), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978 (Commencement) Order, 1978.

2. Sections 1 to 4, 6 to 25, and section 65 of the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978 shall come into operation on the 17th day of July, 1978.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation certain provisions of the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978 , preparatory to setting up the Medical Council the establishment of which is provided for in the Act.
