ROAD TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY BOROUGH OF DUBLIN AND COUNTY OF DUBLIN) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1978.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 46 of the said Act as amended by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) (Amendment) Regulations, 1978.

(2) The Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 358 of 1977 ) and these Regulations shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1977 and 1978.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1978.

3. The Third Schedule to the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations, 1977 is hereby amended by the substitution for the matter at reference 4 (k) of the following—

"(k) Butterfield Avenue and its continuation as Firhouse Road between a point 138 metres south-west of the junction of Butterfield Avenue with Marian Road and the junction of Firhouse Road with Old Court Road."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County Borough of Dublin and County of Dublin) Regulations 1977 and alter the speed limits applicable to Firhouse Road, County Dublin.
