S.I. No. 191/1979 - European Communities (Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Iron and Steel Goods) (Termination) Regulations, 1979.
I, DESMOND O'MALLEY, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Recommendation No. 720/79/ECSC1 of the 9th day of April, 1979, and Commission Recommendation No. 787/79/ECSC2 of the 20th day of April, 1979, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Iron and Steel Goods) (Termination) Regulations, 1979. 2. (1) The provisional anti-dumping duty imposed by the European Communities (Imposition of Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Iron and Steel Goods) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 84 of 1979 ), shall not be charged, levied or paid— | ||
( a ) on any goods of the description specified in Article 3 of those Regulations which are imported into the State and which originate in and are consigned from Spain, or | ||
( b ) on any goods of the description specified in Article 4 of those Regulations which are imported into the State and which originate in and are consigned from Brazil. | ||
(2) Paragraph (1) ( a ) of this Article shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 11th day of April, 1979, and paragraph (1) ( b ) of this Article shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 2nd day of April, 1979. 3. (1) The provisional anti-dumping duty imposed by the European Communities (Imposition of Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Iron and Steel Goods) (No. 2) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 143 of 1979 ), shall not be charged, levied or paid on any goods of the description specified in Article 3 of those Regulations which are imported into the State and which originate in and are consigned from Spain. | ||
(2) Paragraph (1) of this Article shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 25th day of April, 1979. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
These Regulations provide for the termination of the provisional anti-dumping duties imposed by the European Communities (Imposition of Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Iron and Steel Goods) Regulations, 1979, insofar as they relate to the goods specified in Article 2 (1) ( a ) above with effect from 11th day of April, 1979 and insofar as they relate to the goods specified in Article 2 (1) ( b ) above with effect from 2nd day of April, 1979. They also provide for the termination of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed by the European Communities (Imposition of Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Iron and Steel Goods) (No. 2) Regulations, 1979 insofar as they relate to the goods specified in Article 3 (1) above with effect from 25th day of April, 1979. | ||
