BRUCELLOSIS IN CATTLE (MOVEMENT CONTROL) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1979.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 20 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) (Amendment) Order, 1979.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 20th day of August, 1979.

(3) The Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1973 ), the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) (Amendment) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 281 of 1976 ), the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) (Amendment) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 166 of 1978 ), the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 251 of 1978 ), the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) (No. 2) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 252 of 1978 ), and the Brucellosis in Cattle (Notification and Movement Control) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 253 of 1978 ), apart from Article 3 thereof, and this Order may be cited together as the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Orders, 1973 to 1979.

2. Article 3 of the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Order, 1973, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (1) (inserted by Article 2 (b) of the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) (Amendment) Order, 1978):

"(1) The provisions of the Order shall apply to:

( a ) such area as consists of the administrative counties of Clare and Galway, that part of the administrative county of Limerick lying north of the river Shannon and that part of the county borough of Limerick lying north of the River Shannon,

( b ) such area as consists of the administrative county of Dublin, and

( c ) such area as consists of the administrative counties of Cork and Kerry ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order by amending the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Order 1973 exends the provision of that Order to County Cork.
