S.I. No. 424/1981 - Safety in Industry Act (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1981.
I, LIAM KAVANAGH, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Safety in Industry Act, 1980 (No. 9 of 1980), hereby order as follows:— | ||||||||
1. This Order may be cited as the Safety in Industry Act (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1981. | ||||||||
2. The 1st day of March, 1982, is hereby fixed as the day on which the following provisions of the Safety in Industry Act, 1980 (No. 9 of 1980), shall come into operation, namely: | ||||||||
(a) section 2, in so far as it provides a definition of “lifting tackle”; | ||||||||
(b) section 7 (c), in so far as it repeals section 34 (3) of the Principal Act; | ||||||||
and | ||||||||
(c) sections 7 (d), 17, 18, 22 (4), 28, 29, 31 and 32. | ||||||||

This Order appoints the date on which certain provisions of the Safety in Industry Act, 1980 come into operation. |
