S.I. No. 437/1981 - Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1981.


I, LIAM KAVANAGH, Minister for the Public Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (1) of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963), and the Public Service (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1973 ), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1981.

(2) The Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1979, and these Regulations, may be cited together as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1981.

2. The organisations set out in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby designated as approved organisations for the purposes of section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 , provides for the transfer of pensionable service in the case of staff transfers between the Civil Service and “approved organisations” and between one “approved organisation” and another. These regulations designate the organisations set out in the schedule as “approved organisations”.
