Definitions. |
1.—In this Act— | |
“the appointed day” means the day immediately after the vesting day (within the meaning of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 ); | ||
“functions” includes powers and duties and a reference to the performance of functions includes, as respects powers and duties, a reference to the exercise of powers and the carrying out of duties; | ||
“statutory instrument” has the meaning assigned to it by the Interpretation Act, 1937 . |
