STATE FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) ACT, 1984 (SECTION 2 (3)) (CESSER) ORDER, 1985.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Finance, having ceased to be satisfied that, owing to special circumstances of a temporary nature, it is not possible, as regards certain securities, being securities to which, immediately before the commencement of the Order following, Orders under section 2 (3) of the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 (No. 23 of 1984), related, to effect the redemption of, or to pay interest or dividends as regards, those securities, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (1) (b) of the said Act, make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 (Section 2 (3)) (Cesser) Order, 1985.

2. The 14th day of February, 1985, is hereby appointed as the day on which subsection (3) of Section 2 of the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act (No. 23 of 1984), shall cease to be in force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order specifies the date from which the Minister's power to make further postponement orders under Section 2 (3) of the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 is cancelled.
