LOCAL GOVERNMENT (REORGANISATION) ACT, 1985 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1985.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (6) of the Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985 (No. 7 of 1985), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985 (Commencement) Order, 1985.

2. On the 4th day of April, 1985 the Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985 , except sections 10, 18 and 28, shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings into operation on 4th April, 1985 the provisions of the Local Government (Reorganisation) Act, 1985 , except sections 10, 18 and 28.
