DENTISTS ACT, 1985, (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 2) ORDER 1985.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Dentists Act, 1985 (No. 9 of 1985), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Dentists Act, 1985 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1985.

2. Sections 5, 26 to 62 and 64 to 68 of the Dentists Act, 1985 and the First and Second Schedules to the said Act shall come into operation on the 13th day of November, 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this commencement order is to bring into operation as from 13th November 1985 the main provisions of the Dentists Act, 1985 which provide for the registration and control of persons engaged in the practice of dentistry by the Dental Council which will enter into its duties under the Act as from that date.

The sections of the Act not referred to in the commencement Order have already been brought into effect for the purpose of setting up the Dental Council.
