MEDICAL PREPARATIONS (AMENDMENT OF FEES) REGULATIONS, 1988.

The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 65 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) as amended by section 39 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953) with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Preparations (Amendment of Fees) Regulations, 1988.

2. (1) The Medical Preparations (Licensing of Manufacture) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 225 of 1974 ) as amended by the Medical Preparations (Amendment of Fees) Regulations, 1987 ( S.I. No. 49 of 1987 ) are hereby amended by the substitution in article 8 of "£900" for "£880".

(2) The Medical Preparations (Wholesale Licenses) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 333 of 1974 ) as amended by the Medical Preparations (Amendment of Fees) Regulations, 1987 are hereby amended by the substitution in article 8(2) of "£450" for "£400" and of "£150" for "£135".

3. These Regulations shall come into effect on the 1st day of February, 1988.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for increases in the fees charged for licences granted in respect of the manufacture and sale by wholesale of medical preparations.
