ADOPTION (No. 2) RULES, 1988.

An Bord Uchtála, with the consent of the Minister for Health and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 5 of the Adoption Act, 1952 (No. 25 of 1952), hereby makes the following rules:—

1. These rules may be cited as the Adoption (No. 2) Rules, 1988.

2. These rules shall be included in the expression "the Adoption Rules, 1976 to 1988".

3. In the Schedule to the Adoption Rules, 1976 ( S.I. No. 216 of 1976 ) and in the Schedule to the Adoption Rules, 1984 ( S.I. No. 134 of 1984 ), in any place where the address of An Bord Uchtala appears as "65 Merrion Square, Dublin 2", the following shall be substituted as the address of An Bord Uchtala—

"Hawkins House, Dublin 2".

4. These rules shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1989.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Adoption Board will shortly be moving its offices to Hawkins House, Dublin 2. Various forms used by the Board in the adoption process refer to its address as 65 Merrion Square. The purpose of these rules is to change the reference in the forms to Hawkins House with effect from 1 January 1989.
