FINANCE (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (No. 2) ORDER, 1988.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Finance and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Finance (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1988.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 18th day of December, 1988.

2. All the powers and duties of the Minister for Finance conferred on him by or under—

(a) the Whale Fisheries Act, 1937 (No. 4 of 1937), and

(b) the Wildlife Act, 1976 (No. 39 of 1976),

are hereby delegated to Noel Treacy, Minister of State at the Department of Finance.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order delegates the functions of the Minister for Finance in relation to wildlife to Mr. Noel Treacy T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Finance with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, renewing a similar delegation made under the previous Minister for Finance.
